Kerala nun rape case : Survivor’s fellow nuns served transfer notice by ‘Church’

So is this a true face of ‘peaceful and compassionate’ Missionary body’ ? Why pseudo-seculars, feminists, media channels and so-called liberals are keeping mum about Jalandhar Christian institution’s order to isolate victim of rape by Bishop Mulakkal ? – Editor, Hindujagruti

These nuns had staged an about two-week-long protest demanding the arrest of accused Bishop Franco Mulakkal

Kottayam : Four fellow nuns of the survivor in the Bishop Franco rape case were on Wednesday served transfer notice by the Mother General of Missionaries of Jesus based in Jalandhar.

The nuns are presently staying with the survivor at the convent in Kuravilangad near Kottayam.

Two nuns have been asked to join the convents in Bihar, while the other two have been asked to move to Punjab and Kannur.

A fifth nun is also likely to be served transfer notice.

Meanwhile, the nuns who were served transfer notice indicated that they will defy the order and stay in the convent in Kuravilangad.

“This is like a disciplinary action against us,” said Sr Anupama, one of the nuns.

“We are preparing a reply to the mother general,” she said, adding, “This is a ploy to torpedo the case and isolate the victim”.
