Does secularism these days, mean referring to supporters of naxalites as thinkers, social activists and branding ‘Hindutvavadis’ as ‘Hindu terrorists’ ? – Ask ‘Hindutvavadis’
Kalyan : Nine ‘Hindutvavadis’ were arrested during last month in connection with so-called explosives case of Nala Sopara and Dabholkar murder case. None of them is a member of Sanatan Sanstha; even then, few political parties, organizations, so-called progressive factions and Muslim leaders have been making baseless and unfair demand for imposition of ban on Sanatan Sanstha. Few media channels are telecasting shocking and misleading news and making noise about Hindu terrorism; whereas supporters of naxalites arrested in Bhima-Koregaon issue are conveniently sheltered. It is exhibition of double-standards. Hindus are branded as terrorists although nothing has been proved against them; however, naxalites are glorified by calling them as ‘thinkers’, ‘social activists’ and ‘human right activists’. Is this today’s secularism? This question was asked during demonstrations staged at Bhiwandi and Kalyan between 5.00 p.m. and 7.00 p.m. under aegis of ‘Rashtriya Hindu Andolan (RHA)’ on 9th September.
Shri. Vinod Mishra of Swami Gambhiranand Ashram, Shri. Trilokchand Jain of RSS and more than 50 devout Hindus including members of Bajarang Dal, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and Sanatan Sanstha participated in demonstrations staged at Bhiwandi.
Members of Bajarang Dal, Shriram Hindu Sena, ShriShivapratishthan Hindustan, BJP, HJS and Sanatan Sanstha joined the demonstrations staged at Kalyan.
1. Police were asking for copies of ‘Sanatan Satyadarshan’, a special issue published by Sanatan for presenting its true side.
2. An officer from Intelligence Dept said, “Your activities related to ‘Hindutva’ are good. We cannot either say or do anything in that context.”
3. Many people came forward to sign the representation.
