Prayag : Token hunger strike against killings of animals on Bakri Eid

Prayag (Uttar Pradesh) : On 22nd August, environmentalists and ‘Hindutvavadis’ staged token hunger strike at Civil Line to protest against pollution caused by killing of animals on the occasion of Bakri Eid. An appeal was made to celebrate eco-friendly Eid with sweets instead of killing animals. They also questioned the so-called environmentalists who make noise about pollution only during Hindus’ festivals like Holi, Diwali, Shri Ganesh Chaturthi, Navaratri etc, that why such so-called environmentalists never notice pollution caused at the time of Eid. ‘Animal Farms’ Avadhesh Rai, an advocate practising in High Court had gathered environmentalists and ‘Hindutvavadis’ for this hunger strike. Members of Shiv Sena, Hindu Yuva Vahini, Yuva Sena, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and Vishwa Hindu Parishada (Gouraksha); so also many advocates from Allahabad High Court, businessmen and reporters participated in the hunger strike.

PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animal)’s fake love for animals !

PETA has been opposing to Hindu custom of making offerings of animals to God but nobody answered their help line number when contacted. Finally, they were contacted on their emergency no. for preventing killing of animals during Bakri Eid; when they advised to approach police and local Government administration.
