Take stringent action against persons responsible for increase in cost of platform tickets ! – HJS
Rourkela (Odisha) : Fairs are organized at Maihar (Madhya Pradesh) and Vindhyanchal (Uttar Pradesh) every year during festival of Navaratri. The surcharge levied on tickets by Railway Administration is totally unjust and it is a kind of discrimination based on religions. Such hike in rate of tickets should therefore, be cancelled and pilgrims visiting the above places during the fair, should be given concessions in cost of tickets; also persons responsible for such hike should be stringently punished. The above demand has been made by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) through a representation submitted by its delegation to the additional District Collector. It was accepted by personal secretary of additional District Collector T Tata Rao. Devout advocates viz. Brijesh Mishra; Vibhutibhushan Palei and Karamchand Jena; Sanatan Sanstha’s Premprakash Kumar and Shri. Prakash Malondkar, State Coordinator of HJS were present on the occasion.
