The General Secretary of VHP said that Bringing a stay on the death sentence or reduce punishment of Mohammad Afzal, the terrorist found guilty by the Court for attacking Indian Parliament will be like grant of permission to terrorists for future attacks.

The citizens of Pune on behalf of the 'Nagarik Vichar Manch' held demonstrations demanding that Mohammad Afzal, the leader of the terrorists attacking Parliament should be executed on 20th October, the date fixed by the Supreme Court for his execution. There was a very good response to this drive as about 500 people signed the appeal supporting death sentence to Afzal.
