HJS celebrated 'Chaitra Shukla Pratipada' i.e. New Year day of Hindus at Bhubaneshwar (Odisha), Dhanbad, Katras, Jamshedpur (Jharkhand) and Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) along with Hindu organisations and devout Hindus.

Amaravati (Maharashtra): HJS organized lectures at 15 places to create awareness among Hindus about the ‘Gudhi Padava’ festival. Also processions were take out at 2 places in the city.

For the past 11 years, HJS has been undertaking a drive to protect Khadakvasala lake on the days like ‘Dhuli-vandan’ and ‘Rang-panchami’. More than 100 HJS activists prevented pollution of the lake and harm that could have been caused to the environment.

A pictorial exhibition on revolutionaries was arranged by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti on the occasion of Shiv Jayanti celebrations arranged by Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti Utsav Samiti here.

According to the annual tradition followed on the occasion of Shiv Jayanti at Zhenda Naka – Vani Aali, this year too saw the unfurling of a new saffron flag at the place where Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj had first unfurled a saffron flag.

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) along with ‘Shivala Gramastha Mandal’ organized a program at Shivala on the occasion of ‘Shiva-jayanti’. A lecture by Mr. Prasad Vadake of HJS was arranged on the occasion.

Amaravati (Maharashtra): Hindus should keep Shivaji Maharaj as their ideal and abide by Hindu culture, said H.B.P. Shalikram Maharaj Khedkar in a program organised by HJS to celebrate Shiv-Jayanti.

Mumbai : Shiv –jayanti was celebrated with great enthusiasm on behalf of Shiv Sena’s ‘shakha’ no. 193 on Arthur Road, jointly with Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS).

Nagpur (Maharshtra) : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS), on the occasion of ‘Makar-sankrnati’ distributed ‘tilgul’ at Shri Swami Samartha Devsthan, Hudakeshwar. The program was attended by about 175 women.

Kolkata (West Bengal ) : Mr. Ramesh Shinde, the spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) will be in Kolkata from 12 Feb. to 15 Feb. 2012.

Bhiwandi (Maharashtra): On the occasion of ‘Makar-sankranti’, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) organized a ‘get-together’ at Parivali. About 60 local residents attended the program.

Erandol (Dist. Jalgaon, Maharashtra) : ‘Vande Mataram Pratishthan’ and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti jointly organized program of ‘Bharatmata-pujan’ and singing of ‘Vande Mataram’ on the occasion of Republic Day.

In the program organized by Pankaj High Secondary School’s Science Department, on the occasion of birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda as per the Hindu calendar, members HJS were invited. About 125 students attended the program.

It was the first time that on the occasion of ‘Makar-sankranti’, such program was held by HJS and the committees. The program was attended by about 100-150 youth members.
