Mumbai (Maharashtra): The management of Siddhivinayak temple constructed security wall on the advice of Intelligence Department considering the likely danger to the temple. But is the Dept. happy with the wall constructed by the Trustees?, the High Court has asked the Govt.
Shri. R. R. Patil, the State Home Minister informed through a written answer in the Assembly session that tight security has been provided around the Siddhivinayak temple at Prabhadevi in Mumbai.
Members of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) were holding peaceful demonstrations against the Government's proposed Act to take over management of temples and religious institutions. At that time Shri. Subhash Mayekar, President of the Sree Siddhivinayak Trust intimidated the demonstrators.
Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has demanded that the money spent by the Trust from the funds received from devotees for construction of the illegal wall, should be recovered from the Trustees' pockets.
