Ballaleshwar Ganapati Temple is one among the ‘Ashta-Vinayak’ temples located at Pali in Raigad District. On the day of Ganesha-jayanti falling in the month of ‘Magh’ as per the Hindu calendar, scenes of mosque and church were depicted along with that of Bharatmata and temple on the said Ballaleshwar temple.

Unknown persons have stolen, in the midnight, silver ornaments and cash from the donation box kept in a temple worth Rs. 50,000/- at Chokak (Tal. Hatkanangale). A complaint about theft has been lodged by the priest of the temple Mr. Upadhye with Hatkanagale Police Station.

Sangli (Maharashtra): In Chilai Devi Temple at Pare in Khanapur taluka, thieves have stolen a silver sheet weighing 8 kilograms, two silver lamps all together worth Rs. 4.42 lakhs.

A big ‘flex’ hoarding was displayed at the entrance of the famous Neelkantheshawar Temple at Indur extending greetings on the occasion of Christmas. Some pro-Hindu activists, who were protesting against the hoarding, were arrested by the police.
