Respect National Flag

Mumbai: The Bombay High Court was on Wednesday informed by the Maharashtra government that it was considering imposing penalty on manufacturers of plastic national flags.

Mumbai : Mumbai High Court has admonished Maharashtra Government for only asking for further dates in hearing of case filed by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) against sale of national flags made of plastic.

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) submitted representations to Tehsildar, Municipal Commissioner, Police Commissioner, schools, colleges, divisional Education Officers etc.

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and other institutions undertook following drives under their campaign for maintaining honour of national flags at many places in Raigad District like Panvel, Khanda, Kalamboli, Kamothe, Karjat and Rasayani.

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has been undertaking a drive to maintain honour of national flag for the last 9 years through giving representations to the Government.

The District Collector made an appeal to citizens at local level for not using plastic national flags on the occasion of Republic Day and to give due respect to national flag

Dapoli (Dist. Ratnagiri, Maharashtra) : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti conducts a movement to prevent denigration of National flag on the Independence Day and Republic Day.

Drive undertaken by HJS for prevention of abuse of National Flag on the occasion of 15th August, Independence Day received good response. Activists of HJS collected in ‘Honour Box’, the Flags thrown on roads and placed at wrong places while explaining the subject to citizens and students on the way.

On the occasion of 15th August, the Independence Day, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) undertook a drive to prevent abuse of the National Flag. The drive received spontaneous response from the citizens.

Miss Saguna Gujjeti of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) gave a lecture to students from ‘Pragati Classes’ at Pratikshanagar on the topic of maintaining honour of National Flags. 35 students from 9th and 10th standard attended the lecture.

On 15th August, the Independence Day, National Flags made of plastic are used on large scale. These flags are later found thrown all over the roads resulting in their abuse. This abuse should be stopped.

Activists of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) undertook a drive at Khanda Colony in Panvel to create awareness amongst people to prevent use of plastic National Flags and to stop abuse of National Flag.

On 15th August, the Independence Day, National Flags made of plastic which are used during the celebration of Independence Day are later found thrown all over the roads resulting in their abuse. In this regard HJS submitted Memorandum to the Tehsildar to stop the abuse of National flag.

This abuse should be stopped. Memorandum to the above effect was recently submitted by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) to the Tehsildar.
