K. Patil, N. G. Vidyalaya, Chandrashekhar Memorial School, Panna English School, Presidency English High School etc.

Dombivali (Maharashtra) : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) held lecture at Pragati College in Dombivali (E) and at Agricultural College at Murbad to create awareness on Valentine Day.

Many people from other countries are following Indian culture and experiencing happiness and peace; but the young generation of this country is following western culture; therefore, they have no peace and they indulge in immoral behavior falling prey to AIDS.

Bhiwandi (Maharashtra) : No scripture or book on Hindu Dharma has any information on celebration of ‘Valentine Day’; even then, today’s generation, exchange ‘love’ messages with great enthusiasm and under influence of this one day’s emotions, get married; but we see many such couples married on ‘Valentine Day’, unable to continue their married life in future.

Alibaug (Maharashtra) : Chhattisgarh Government has imposed ban on ‘Valentine Day’ and has started celebration of ‘Matru-Pitru pujan Divas (day to perform ‘puja’ of parents)’. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has also undertaken movement against celebration of Valentine Day.

Belgaum (Karnataka) : On 14th February 2012, many unpleasant incidents took place in 4 metro cities in the name of celebrating Valentine Day wherein there was reporting of terrible incidents

Shiv Sena strongly opposes ‘Valentine Day’ as it is imitation of immoral western culture that believes only in enjoyment of life at any cost.

Miraj (Maharashtra) : If ancient great culture of India is followed, the country will progress. Since we always pay respect to our parents, have ‘Matru-Pitru-bhav’, there is no need for us to celebrate any ‘Day’

Dombivali (Maharashtra) : A representation was submitted to the Principal, Shri. Ashok Mahajan of ‘Pragati’ College located in Dombivali (East) on behalf of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) for creating awareness amongst students against celebration of Valentine Day.

HJS enlightening movement against celebration of ‘Valentine Day’

Panvel (Dist. Raigad, Maharashtra) : A day’s workshop was recently organized by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) on stress management, how to lead life without any stress.

Activists of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) met Principals of various colleges requesting them to create awareness among students and dissuading them from celebrating ‘Valentine Day’. A representation to that effect was also submitted to the Principals and police.

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) submitted representations to senior Police Inspector (PI) Jadhav at Ramnagar Police Station and PI Ramchandra Sonawane of Vishnunagar Police Station.
