Rasayani (Maharashtra) : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) observed Martyr Day of revolutionaries viz. Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev in a program held in Sri Sai Mandir at Mohopada, Rasayani in Raigad District.

Panvel: Warkari Sect and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti staged agitations by ‘ringing of bells’ at Shivaji Chowk to protest against the proposed anti-superstitions Act. More than 60 devout Hindus took part in the agitation.

Prayagraj (UP) : Anant Shrivibhushit Jyotisha-peethadhishwar and Dwarka Shardapeethadhishwar Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Swarupananda Saraswati Maharaj was welcomed in ‘Kumbh-mela’ by taking him in grand procession from Rambaug.

HJS undertook a drive to prevent malpractices taking place on 31st December night creating awareness amongst people. As a result, 20 entertainment programs organized at Murtizapur were spontaneously cancelled.

There was a reduction of 80% in the inappropriate practices being carried out on forts every year due to awareness created by proud Hindus !

This year Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) along with other Hindu organisations tried to create awareness in people about the ill-effects of celebrating new year on 31st December night. It received good response from the society.

Mumbai : This year Maharashtra Govt. granted permission for consumption of liquor on 31st December till 5.00 a.m. To protest against this, HJS and Hindu organisations staged intense demonstrations.

Pune (Maharashtra) : A program was organized including vulgar dances of women followed with dinner. When HJS protested against it and many Hindus complained about program to Police, the organisers cancelled the program.

This year, various pro-Hindu organizations and their members have also joined HJS drive of creating awareness regarding ill-effects of celebrating new year on 31st December night amongst people.
