Recently HJS Chennai team met a devout Hindu Mr. Anantha Narayanan. He told some incidents about his father, Mr. P. A. Ramakrishnan who stood for Hindu Dharma against all odds.

Recently HJS had organized a special workshop at Kannampalayam which received heart warming response. Kannampalayam is a small village about 15 kms away from Chennai. Young Trainee teacher Miss Bhanupriya from this place happened to attend HJS workshop at Vilankadupakkam and was inspired to organize the workshop at her native. She took the initiative and entire responsibility for making this event successful.

HJS recently conducted campaign for creating awareness to stop the denigration of the national flag and respect it on the occasion of National Republic day. Good response was received to this campaign from Bhuvaneshwari matriculation school in Padi from Chennai.

Mumbai: Shiv Sena Chief Mr. Balasaheb Thackeray celebrated his 83rd birthday on 23rd January 2010. On this occasion, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) extended greetings to him. On reading the greetings, he blessed the mission of HJS and expressed a wish to meet the members of HJS.

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Chennai activists went to Vilankadupakkam, which is around 10 kms away. It is a small village having about 70 to 75 families (all Hindus) with an ancient Adi Moola Kesava temple, an equally ancient Lavapureeshwarar temple. This visit and satsang there was arranged by Mr. Subramaniamji of Jana Kalyan.

Mumbai: A delegation of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) today called on the newly elected mayor of Mumbai, Mrs. Shraddha Jadhav and extended their best wishes. The mayor praised the activities of HJS related to protection of Nation and Dharma.

Bhagyanagar (Hyderabad): The drive undertaken by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) advising people to celebrate New Year on ‘Gudhi Padva’ instead of on the eve of 31st December received very good response all over Andhra Pradesh.

Chinchwad, Pune (Maharashtra): On behalf of HJS, a rally was organized at Bhosari to enlighten people on celebration of New Year on the day of ‘Gudhi Padva’ instead of 31st December. 150 devout Hindus participated in rally.

Udupi (Karnataka): HJS along with Sri Ram Sena, Bajarang Dal & A.B.V.P. conducted bike rally to awake the Hindus to stop adopting the western culture about new year celebration on 1st January and celebrate the new year on UGADI (Chaitra Shuddha Pratipada).

Shimoga (Karnataka): Hindu Janajagruti Samiti held a protest to make singing of ‘Vande Mataram’ compulsary at all primary and medium schools in Karnataka State.

Thane (Maharashtra): Recently Mr. Ajay Sambhus of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) received a phone call. The person calling him expressed his wish to meet Mr. Sambhus. On meeting, the person informed him that he was from Intelligence Bureau.

Tenali (Andhra Pradesh): Recently HJS members along with other devout Hindus submitted memorandum in Subcollector office against fatwa issue against Vande Mataram by some Muslim organisations.

"Those who have issued the Fatwa and those who have passed the resolution in Deoband are against the National values and hence HJS demands the immediate arrest of these persons" - HJS Indur district spokesperson Shri. Pranav Sharma

Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, urged NMA authorities to urgently withdraw the artpiece from the exhibition as it was apparently very hurtful to the feeling of the devotees. Goddess Kali was highly revered in Hinduism and she was meant to be worshiped in temples and not to be used indecorously.
