J&K Interlocutors Report

BJP threatened to launch a movement if the UPA Government at the Centre accepts the report of its interlocutors pertaining to special status for J&K under Article 370 of the Indian Constitution.

Chennai : An impressive protest public meeting was held to protest against these Interlocutors report which is a conspiracy to sever Jammu-Kashmir from India in Chennai on 6th July 2012.

“The report on J&K by the Interlocutors is purely anti-national. The facts and suggestions mentioned in report are totally against the national interest, hence citizens has to oppose this report, said RSS leader V Nagaraj.

Rejecting the report of Centre- appointed interlocutors on Jammu and Kashmir, BJP on Friday said the recommendations of the three-member panel was against the national interest.

Demanding rejection of the report of the Interlocutors on Jammu and Kashmir, the Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) on Monday held a protest demonstration and burn copies of the report demanding its rejection.

"The report submitted by the interlocutors on Jammu and Kashmir erodes the integrity of Indian Republic and seeks to legitimise separatism," BJP national executive member and chief spokesperson Jitendra Singh said.

Terming the report submitted by the team of interlocutors on Jammu & Kashmir as anti-national, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Rajya Sabha MP and spokesperson Tarun Vijay on Friday demanded that the Union government scrap the report.

Dismissing the interlocutors report on the state of Jammu and Kashmir and questioning the credentials of the interlocutors, Arun Kumar, says that the report only captures the perception of the country.

Senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi here Saturday called the central government interlocutors' report on Jammu and Kashmir as "dangerous" and said it favours separatists and discourages nationalist forces.

The Interlocutors Report on Jammu & Kashmir is no surprise. After all, what else could have been expected from the Interlocutors, who were seen enjoying luxurious hospitality of ISI agent Ghulam Nabi Fai.

The report of the interlocutors should be confined to the dustbin because the motive and commitment of at least two of its members are suspect.

Report of Interlocutors on J&K is a report as Union Govt. and State Govt. required in the name of consensus of people and stake holders of state. This is addressed only to the separatist mindset of J&K.

Home Minister P Chidambaram said the government will take a view on it including the recommendation on setting up of a constitutional committee only after looking at its "pros and cons" at a later stage.

The Executive Director of Kashmiri American Council, Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai has said that the India-appointed interlocutors report on Kashmir is a mess, a diversion from the primary interests of the people and an outright diversionary tactic by the members of the group.

The union home ministry on Thursday said that the views expressed in the report were those of the interlocutors and the government would welcome "an informed debate" on the report's contents.
