Every year, HJS makes an appeal to immerse Sri Ganesh idols in flowing water instead of artificial water tanks. Ganesh-devotees are, therefore, explained the spiritual science behind the same. Such guidance was given by HJS at Shivaji Park (Dadar), Nana – Nani Park, Pestom Sagar (Chembur) and Akurli Mata Mandir [Kandivali (E)] where artificial water tanks have been erected.

Municipal Corporation has erected artificial water tanks for immersion of Sri Ganesh idols. It is, however, necessary as per the ‘Dharmashastra’ that Sri Ganesh idols are immersed in flowing water; therefore, the Municipal Corporation should immediately close down the artificial water tanks.

HJS had put up a board in ‘Talaopali’ area explaining science behind immersion of Sri Ganesh idol. Encroachment Department of Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC), however, raised objection and removed the said board.

The Town Council uses its trash-vans to carry Sri Ganesh idols for immersion. This year clean and good vehicles should be made available for carrying the idols and immersion should be done with devotion and respect.

It has been observed from the statistics published by MMC that there was considerable decrease in the immersion of Sri Ganesh idols, installed for 1-1/2 days by individuals, in artificial water tanks.

On the occasion of its silver jubilee year, the local youth committee invited Hindu Janajagruiti Samiti (HJS) to give guidance on celebration of Ganesh festival.

Villagers and Hindu dharmabhimanis took the initiative to convert the Sarvajanik (Common) Ganeshotsav in Madnur into Adarsh Ganeshotsav this year under the guidance of HJS.

Pune (Maharashtra): Ganesha-devotees, who keep idols for 1-1/2 days, immersed idols today. They preferred to immerse Sri Ganesha idols in flowing water of the river and paid no heed to the appeal made by anti-Hindus to use water tanks .

Vasai (Dist. Thane, Maharashtra): HJS made an appeal for prevention of malpractices in celebration Ganesha festival by public committees and for its celebration in ideal manner as per spiritual science.

A representation was submitted on behalf of HJS to prevent denigration of Sri Ganesh during Ganesh Festival at Miraj, Sangli and Karad along with many other places in Maharashtra.

An artificial water tank is set up in ‘Nana Nani’ Garden in Pestom Sagar area at Chembur with the initiative of ‘Senior Citizens Forum’ during Ganesh Festival.
