Muslims oppose poster of temple destroyer Afzal Khan's slaying!
June 10, 2006
Aurangabad: Fanatic Muslims have opposed one of the inspiring and important incidents of Afzal Khan's slaying by Shivaji Maharaj from the biography of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Muslims are hit with sudden surge of love for Afzal Khan and have demanded to withdraw the circular depicting historical incidents in the life of Shivaji Maharaj wherein a picture of Shivaji Maharaj gutting Afzal Khan has been published.
Who was Afzal Khan? Afzal Khan was the Mughal Sardar in the Court of Aurangzeb and notorious for severing the Tulja Bhavani idol at Tuljapur near Kolhapur. After he Severed Tulja Bhavani idol Shivaji took an oath of exterminating Afzal Khan. He was a typical Hindu Hater and gave a free hand to his troops to attack and plunder Hindu Homes in Maharashtra. His troops massacred Hindus and committed undescribable atrocities on Hindu women and Children. His Aim was to somehow bring Shivaji down from the fort and kill him and present his head as a gift in the name of Allah to Aurangzeb! However, Shivaji tore open the guts of Aurangzeb and a handful of Maratha Army routed the huge Mughal Army by the Grace of Goddess Bhavani
On the occasion of first anniversary of the branch of Shiv Sena opened in Aurangabad, the party is celebrating anti-terrorism week. In this context, copies of the said circular with a heading that 'This is how we will have to end terrorism' have been published by Shiv Sena and the same are displayed at various important places in the city of Aurangabad. But the Afzal Khan fans have taken objection to the circular and threatened to go on hunger strike if the circulars are not removed.

Dear Sir,
First of all I would like to bring to your kind notice that Afjal Khan was not a noble of Aurangzeb. In fact he was a sardar of Bijapur,s Adilshah. Secondly, he was a perrinial enemy of Shivaji Maharaj. He trechourously arrested Shahaji Raje and also humiliated him by pareding on the roads of Bijapur. Afjal was even instrumental in killing Sambhaji, Maharaj,s elder brother. In my opinion these activities-sins of Afjal are sufficient to send him to Jahannum.

It is a matter of shame that one of the greatest king of all times & a protector of Hindu religion is slowly fading away from our memories. 1 has to agree that in todays world the best way of educating ppl is via films, documentaries adverts etc. when our own ppl direct a movie on muslim kings "Jodha-Akbar" as if he was of any match to Shivaji.
These big names in film industry should put their hands up n direct a detailed movie on shivaji in hindi.. this would spread the awareness amongst all indians...

Sharad, I think you are right. But no one in Bollywood would make a move on Cht. Shivaji Maharaj as they are all full of Khans.

Wikipedia gives information about all contemporary kings of the generation of Shivaji . I donot think any other proof is required to prove that Shivaji was the noblest and the greatest King of his generation . Lets not forget that he was not just Hindu King but he took care of all his subjects irrespective of their religions . He created and inspired people like Bajiprabhu , Netaji , Tanaji ,Murarbaji , Prataprao Gujar , Jiva mahala , Siva Barber who gave their lives for him . None of them were forced todosoby Shivaji . And Afjal khan was against Humanity . Killing such naradhams was a great service to Humanity . Shivaji Maharaj Ki jay
