HJS protest: UTI bank cancels Hussain's exhibition!
March 2, 2007
Pune: In Pune, on the Senapati Bapat Road, the UTI bank exhibited paintings of the controversial, Hindu hater artist M.F. Hussain . Yesterday Hindu protagonists protested against this through phone calls and e-mails to the bank. Several Hindus joined hands with the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti to vehemently protest against this and finally compelled the bank to close down the exhibition.
Today morning before the bank began its transactions the bank officials rolled all the paintings belonging to Domnic Corda of `Contemporay Indian Art’ and kept them outside the bank. The bank manager, Shri. Sachin Belvalkar stated that they had no ulterior motive behind exhibiting these paintings. The bank holds free art exhibitions off and on, as a pastime for clients. However this time Mr. Domnic Corda had not appraised them about the exhibits. He also said that had they known these were M.F. Hussain ’s blasphemous paintings then they would never have exhibited them. He tendered a written apology on behalf of the bank to the HJS for this untoward incident.
Domnic Corda booked and his house raided in search of more paintings
A case under section 292 (34)of the Indian Penal code has been registered against Mr. Domnic Corda for hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus by exhibiting paintings of M.F.Hussain denigrating Hindu deities, at the Chatushshrungi Police Station. Despite about 1200 cases being registered against M.F. Hussain for denigrating Hindu deities by painting them in the nude, Mr. Corda dared to exhibit the paintings hurting the Hindu religious sentiments because of which this stand had to be taken. The police raided his residence at Hadapsar in St. Patrick Town around 4 a.m. but the shrewd man ensured that Husain’s paintings exhibited at the UTI bank were not found there. However after a fervent search the Hindu protagonists managed to procure two paintings denigrating Lord Krushna in a locked room, which were then handed over to the police. When questioned about other pictures Corda gave false information that these were all the paintings that he possessed. On the first day of the exhibition about 15-20 paintings of Lord Ganapati were exhibited, out of which one had been used for advertisement in local dailies. Despite that Corda falsely denies owning any such paintings.
Those who protested against this exhibition and registered a complaint against this act of denigration were Shri. Milind Ekbote, Working President of the Dharmaveer Sambhaji Pratishthan and a former city councillor; Shri. Ashok Munde the sub-city President and Shri. Hemant Borkar, of the Bharatiya Janata Party; Mr. Rahul Gavade of the BJYM, Shri. Raj Yadav of the MNS, Shri. Sunil Jadhav of the Maratha Sangharsh Aghadi, Shri. Shambhu Gavare and Shri. Hemant Shinde of the Sanatan Sanstha, Shri. Sunil Ghanvat and Shri. Hemant Parsanis of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti along with other Hindu protagonists.
This Korda should have been told to put pictures of latest news on Jesus's tomb being discovered which proves his resurrection to be completely false.
Went through the names you mentioned. Surprisingly Shiv Sena and MNS were missing.

There is a hotel at the end of Paud Road after Vanaz factory(going towards Chandni Chowk) since a long time by the name of 7/11.
This name was given to the hotel after the Bombay train blasts. This is utter perversity.
To start a hotel in Pune on Paud Road by the name of the Bombay train blasts should be condemned and the hotel owner booked.
How does this hotel continue with this name.
How did no body complained.

The Paintings that are shown on this website might be some of his creations and some other paintings might not have been shown that may be appreciative. But above all apart from comparisions of different paintings and religion measles what bothers me the most is the Insult of Mother India. Today we find no one at the heights of patriotism as we used to find years back that led to Independent India. Atleast we can fight against such things to fulfill our duty towards Mother India and prove as her good if not best children at the peak time. I dont believe personally in religionalism but I strictly believe myself to be a true Indian. I consider the fight for one's religion as the suffering of measles to that person i.e. the measles of his/her religion. IF YOU DONT BELIEVE IN OTHER RELIGIONS THEN ALSO YOU DONT HAVE ANY RIGHTS TO INSULT THEM. YOU LOVE YOUR CASTE CAN NEVER BE SHOWN BY THE HATRED AGAINST OTHER RELIGION. Well, these thoughts concern me to strictly protest against Mr. M. F. Hussain. And I am strictly against him for such obscene paintings but that does not mean at all that I am with Hindus or Muslims. I am a human being first then an Indian & all other things are minor to me. These are my personal views not under anyone's influence.

I wish to see the recognition of India as a Hindu nation, but not one in which people are threatened and intimidated into submission by fear. What is the difference between Hindus and the Muslims/Christian fanatics when we also use fear to silence others? This is absolutely un-Hindu behavior and those who are indulging in it can hardly claim to be Hindus to the extent that they are willing to terrorize others in the name of religion. Please stop this blasphemy business and "don't insult my gods" nonsense and continue rather your excellent work in bringing to light the plight of the Hindus suffering at the hands of the violent colonialist religions of Islam and Christianity.

Why we Hindus are so impotent ? Isn't it a shame to be happy with just protests / Every one knows what happenned and how many agitations took palce in different countries when Mohammed was depicted in a caricature in Denmark.

MF Hussain is the dirtiest character, who is a crank fundamentalist, killing the secular fabric of the country. His paintings are targetted to divide the society and pit the Muslims and Hindus on an unwanted clash. He is a social terrorist wrecking secular unity of the country and is an antinational, antihuman dirt under the garb of an artist.Hell with him.Hussain be cursed.

Making written protests and dharnas is the first civilized way of protest; however the sama, bheda, danda and chatura ways of tackling such miscreants should also be an option if such persons do not desist. Give it to them the way they want it and the world shall know, Hindus are no longer willing to cow down.
Jai Bharat and long live the land of universal knowledge.

Only Hindus can understand Indian culture. These sons of ******** cannot understand Indian culture. Those who are born of Mleccha's like Aurangazeb, how can they understand India's culture. Congress government which has this mleccha support can never really understand and appreciate the India culture. We need a Hindu government to support Hindus. Congress/CPI(M) have dubious plans to convert India to a Islamic country. This is a secret plan. If Indian Hindus cannot understand it and fight against it like Shivaji, they will go down like a endangered species sooner or later.

As I have read and heard about the life so far of this so called fine art painter, it doesn't make me wonder to see his criminal tendencies since his early years. This so called skill of him is his tool to satisfy his pervert, wild and criminal fantacies & sadistic enjoyment hurting the peaceful folk taking them for the granted-harmless-cowards.
What surprises is, finding some of us proud in making idiots of them by showing appreciation for the ugliest ideas hardly having any aesthetic value even remotely.Neither in terms of a theme nor the painting medium. And he knows it.He tries to make capital of the india-haters as well as the naives like the dubai organisers.Limitting line is not far

In the 80s & 90s it was the VOI which gave the intellectual leadership to the Hindu society against the forces of Islam and Christianity. Now on the ground it is the HJS which is spearheading the Hindu resistance. Considering the intellectual bankruptcy of the more established Hindu organisations and their obsession with their own organisations instead of the Hindu society, an organisation such as HJS is urgently needed to save the Hindus of Bengal. We would love to start the Bengal chapter of HJS asap. We look forward to your response.

This is a job well done!
This is my first visit to this website and I am really impressed. I was looking for a forum like this for a while and finally I found one.
I think this movement shold spread across India, to maintain the existence of HINDUISM.
