TTD to spread Hindu Dharma worldwide

Hyderabad: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is determined to spread the Hindu Dharma and Sri Venkateswara Mahathyam across the World, said TTD chairman B. Karunakara Reddy.

Sharing his USA tour experiences with newsmen in Tirupati, he said that Detroit Telugu Association had invited him laying the foundation stone for a temple of Lord Venkateswara at an estimated cost of Rs 200 crore. The temple will coming up at Novi in Michigan state of USA. During his stay in USA he visited several Hindu temples, especially those managed by Telugu people.

Referring to popularity of Srivari Kalyanam, he said that there was a request to conduct one in USA to which he agreed and most probably would be held in June-July next year. The modaliteis would be worked out.There was also a request for translating Mahabharatham into English, he added.

Reddy said that a proposal for allocating special tickets for NRIs was made which was rejected. He said he suggested them they can book in advance, as the information of darshan status and availability of accommodation are already available on online booking system of TTD.
