Islamabad: President Pervez Musharraf on Tuesday visited a temple of Lord Shiva in Karachi where he said historical places of all religions, including that of Hinduism, were an integral part of Pakistan's history and it was the priority of the government to maintain them.
Musharraf, currently on a visit to the Port city, drove down to a Shiv temple in the town which was one of the oldest in the region. He was received at the temple by its caretaker Suresh Manjani, state-run PTV reported. "Historical places of all religions including that of Hinduism are the integral part of Pakistan's cultural and geographical history," he was quoted as saying by PTV.
He said it was the priority of the government to keep them in shape so that they remain an asset and source of belonging for interfaith bonding and tourists around the world. Pakistan has some of the oldest Hindu temples which have remained neglected for over five decades. In 2004, the Pakistan government launched a Rs 10 crore project to renovate the Khatas Raj temple in Punjab province where the Pandavas are believed to have spent their exile. BJP leader LK Advani vusited the sprawling temple when he came to Pakistan.
India and Pakistan are currently working out a group tourist visa policy under which Islamabad plans to attract large number of tourists to visit historical places, including temples in the country.

pakistani people need to protect these temples as they are the vital part of our culture. they must support the minorities over there as the muslims and their beliefs are supported and protected in hindustan.

see by turning temples in to slaughter house, its allah saying to do so, no then why these people do so, where as in india there are so many mosque and we respect them ,so they should do the same , by showing anger and doing wrong things they are spoiling thier own name in world, and raping hindu girls which will be punished by thier own allah before thier death here itself on this earth
In the name of allah the almighty ,one should not do such kind of shamefull mistakes, let it be a temple or a church or a gurudwara ,each has a respect from their community ,so respecting others is what is teached in kuran, insulting other community by slaughtering the cow in the temple wiill not be tolerated by allah,if one belives in him he is a true muslim ,so stop this, the hindu girls are also some ones daughter ,if it happens with their own sister what would they do,so stop this for ever

Pakistan has lost it's moral right to survive as a civilized nation. However, while there are Muslims in the area who condemn such barbaric behaviour towards the hapless Hindu minority....there is hope.May Paramatma grant courage and strength to the Hindus and sow love and respect in the hearts of the perpetrators.
Om Shanti....

It is India's fault that after division of Pakistan majority of Hindus came back to India, while majority of Muslims were kept in India by so called securalist the Congress Party. Now the muslims are 20 crores and within 20/30 years Hindus will be minority in India leave alone pakistan. This is the fate of Hindus.

Our life span of 100 years is very short to see this beautiful world, and we must respect all religions to establish peace in this world.
If Only Pakistan start respecting all religions, there will be peace all over the world.Because in entire world it is supposed that Pakistan is the centre of all terrorists activities.
So if Musharraf is willing to protect minorities religious in Pakistan, then it is a good gesture. But we must wait,as it is not sure whether he is saying such thing as he is out of power. He wants action against him stopped,by saying in support of minorities. Or to please USA.

First we should accept the fact that GOD IS ONE.The way we worship and the different names we gave are part of culture.
This cultural tradition is the creative aspect of humans. So if a muslim worships allah or a hindu worships krshna or a christian worships jesus, those respects would ultimately go to that same ONE almighty.
It is high time that people of india and pakistan both should learn to love and respect all the religions in their nations.
Let there be humanity first and then the religion.
