James Laine Issue: HJS demonstrates at Dombivali

Devout Hindus protesting against Anti-Shivaji book by James Laine

Dombivali (Maharashtra): Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) held demonstrations to protest against the book authored by James Laine titled “Shivaji: the Hindu King in Islamic India” wherein there is objectionable degrading matter about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Rajmata Jijau. The demonstrations were held at Dombivali Railway Station in the West. The Shivaji-devotees were holding banners in their hands and raising slogans.

Mr. Tatyasaheb Mane, the municipal councilor of Shiv Sena from Gopalnagar, Dombivali (East), Mr. Ajay Sambhus of HJS and many workers of Shiv Sena and HJS participated in the demonstrations. Mr. Mane addressed the gathering when he said, “The present Government is bent upon carrying out anti-Hindu activities; but henceforth, Hindus will not tolerate injustice. Nobody should dare to hurt religious sentiments of Hindus and trouble them.” Mr. Sambhus said, “Strict action should be taken against James Laine so that nobody dares to write such perverted books in future.”
