Chennai: James Laine, an anti-Shivaji author has written a book that has offending matter against Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Jijamata. The ban imposed by Maharashtra Government has been lifted by the Supreme Court. Now, a law will be passed to ban the book. This shows that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj did not belong only to Maharashtra. His kingdom was spread over Goa, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu apart from Maharashtra. Even in the present States of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh, there was respect for Chhatrapati. A proof of the above was recently published in few newspapers.
