FHA and Sunnyvale Hindu Temple to hold First Hinduism Summmit in California, USA

July 7, 2010

Jyeshtha Krushna Dashami, Kaliyug Varsha 5112

“Divine Consciousness radiated throughout the venue as the conch was blown.” “Rays of energy emanated from the sound of the Holy verses recited in Sanskrit.” “My daughter learned the spiritual science behind the use of vermilion (kumkum). Now she wants to apply the vermillion instead of the sticker bindi !” “I didn’t know this was denigration of our revered Deities ! I will be more alert about it now.”

These are some of the experiences and comments shared by the attendees of the 6 Hinduism Summits held by the Forum Hindu Awakening (FHA) in different parts of the world over the past year. Encouraged by the response and the blessings of Saints to the Summits, FHA along with the Sunnyvale Hindu Temple is now organizing a Hinduism Summit at this temple in California on 28 August 2010 (Shravan Krushna Chaturthi 5112 as per the Hindu lunar calendar).

This Hindu Dharma Sabha welcomes anyone interested in understanding and living Hinduism. It invites discussion on current issues facing the Hindu community, the spiritual reasons behind them, and working together to overcome the issues to preserve Hinduism which holds out concrete solutions for the problems widespread in society today.

The Hindu Dharma Sabha will include presentations by Hindu and spiritual leaders, demonstrative videos and a posters' display to create awareness about the spiritual reasoning underlying Hinduism practices. The audience will have the opportunity to seek answers from the speakers, to questions on Hinduism concepts and Hindu issues. The Summit will also offer darshan (Holy visitation) of a rare, spiritually vibrant idol (murti) of Lord Ganesh, an exhibition of spiritual items attacked by ghosts and live webcast of the event for attendance online.

The Forum for Hindu Awakening and Sunnyvale Hindu Temple are non-profit, tax exempt organizations, devoted to awaken society to the unique spiritual science underlying Hinduism, motivate people to live and preserve it, and facilitate the spiritual progress of humanity at large.
