Hubli (Karnataka): Permission for Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha organized by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) on 21st February, Sunday on the grounds in Deshpande Nagar was denied by the police because Mr. Pramod Mutalik, the President of Sriram Sena was invited as one of the speakers in the ‘Sabha’. The ‘Sabha’ was, therefore, cancelled by HJS and will now be held on 9th March 2010.

Workers of the Youth faction of the Congress smeared black colour on the face of Mr. Mutalik in Bangaluru which has created a law and order problem in the State according to the police. In this background, the police did not grant permission for the meeting as Mr. Mutalik was invited as a speaker. The police told that they were not against HJS or the meeting; but only because of Mr. Mutalik, permission was not granted.
