Amaravati (Maharashtra): A delegation of Sanatan Sanstha met the President (Mrs.) Pratibha tai Patil at the Government Guest House recently in connection with the likely ban proposed to be imposed on Sanatan Sanstha by a few persons in the Government  by accusing the Sanstha without any concrete evidence. The delegation apprised the President (Mrs.) Pratibhatai Patil of the various activities undertaken by Sanatan. On hearing the same, the President immediately gave her opinion that Sanatan Sanstha’s activities are good. 9 page- representation was submitted to her protesting against the ban on Sanatan Sanstha, an organization engaged in spreading spirituality and ‘Dharmajagruti’ for the past so many years. She assured the delegation of taking proper action in respect of the likely ban.  Sanatan seekers Mr. Ratnakar Marathe, Yogesh Malokar, Dr. (Mrs.) Samidha Varudkar and Mr. Hemant Khatri of Hindu Janajgruti Samiti were the members of the delegation.

The President was impressed with ‘Sanatan Panchang 2010’

The President was presented with books published by Sanatan on various subjects, VCDs on ‘Dharma-shikshan’ and ‘Monthly Sanatan Prabhat’’s Hindi issue. She was quite impressed with the Sanatan Panchang (almanac) for the year 2010. She stated that the books were of Sanatan Dharma as she took them in her hand.  

The President should ask the Central Government to provide protection to Sanatan – Demands Sanatan Sanstha

In the representation submitted to the President on behalf of Sanatan Sanstha, it has been mentioned that six MPs of Shiv Sena, BJP and PWP and 32 MLAs have sent letters to the Central Government protesting against the proposed ban on Sanatan. Different Gram-panchayats, organizations and parties have passed resolutions for not imposing ban on Sanatan. The ‘Sanstha’ has also demanded through a 150 page representation submitted to the State Governments of Goa, Maharashtra and the Central Government against the ban on Sanatan; therefore, the President should oppose, in the interest of society, nation and Dharma, the unjust demand of ban on Sanatan and ask the Central Government to provide security to Sanatan Sanstha.
