A representation given to safeguard immersion sites from anti ?immersion groups
September 5, 2006 Jalgaon:On the day of Anant Chaturdashi, organizations like ANS (Andhashradha Nirmulan Samiti - Committee for Eradication of Blind Faith) carry out their campaigns against immersion of Sri Ganesh idols. Hindu janajagruti Samiti gave a representation to the District Collector of Jalgaon, the Police Superintendent and municipal Commissioner to prevent such organizations harassing devotees at the sites of immersion. The representatives of Hindu Mahasabha, Sri Sampraday and Sanatan Sanstha were also present.
