Why we must stop such Denigration of Hindu Deities?

Appeal to devout Hindus

Students of J J Institute of Applied Arts has denigrated Ramayana and Hindu deities (Lord Ram, Lord Lakshman, Lord Hanuman and Goddess Sita) through paintings drawn in the walls of the campus of J J Institute of Applied Arts, as the college is celebrating its Platinum Century year (Completion of 75 years). All Hindus should protest lawfully against such denigration and force the Institute to withdraw such denigratory paintings and apologise to all Hindus.

Details of denigration

Mumbai: It has been found that under the name of modernisation, Hindu deities are denigrated through wall painting in the campus of J J Institute of Applied Arts. This has triggered wave anger among all devout Hindus.

Here J J Institute is celebrating 75 years of its completion and on this occasion, campus painting is organised. These paintings contain many objectionable and denigratory paintings such as :
1. Lord Hanuman is giving Alcohol bottles to Lord Ram
2. Lord Lakshman is flirting with college girls to impress them
3. Goddess Sita is also depicted in very objctionable way. It is shown that she is organising her 'Swayamwar' on the day of 'Valentine day'.
4. Lord Ram is drawing a painting of one college going model.

In such fashion, all pictures of Hindu Deities are drawn in vulgar and objectionable way. So this has triggered wave of anger in all Pro-Hindu organisations and they have warned to remove these paintings by black paint, if J J Institute is not removing these denigratory pictures. Hindus also tried to contact Dean of College Dr. G G Waghmare, but he was not reachable.

A famous artist Mr. Amol Matkar expressed that to draw paintings of Hindu deities in such horrible and vulgar manner is wrong and I strongly protest against it. Such paintings should be immediately banned and legal action should be taken against Painters of these paintings and College Offficials.

It is ridiculous on the part of such a prestigious Institution to insult Lord Sri Ram and Ramayana on the occasion of the 75th Year Anniversary. Do the students need the Blessings of the Gods or their curse. Why should the students ever think of denigrating the Deities whom crores of Hindus pray every day. In the name of Freedom of expression will they ever draw cartoons of Mohamed Paigamber as the Danish cartoonist did. It should be remembered that they would be skinned alive if they did so. Just because Hindus are peace loving it is unfair to hurt their religious feelings.

Yes, HJS should make an e-letter to be signed by Hindus and send it to J. J. School of Applied Arts and register the protest for denigration of Hindu dieties in a Hindu majority country.
