Inauguration of Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha by lighting a Samai (A Lamp)

Revdanda (Dist. Raigad, Maharashtra): The British ruled over this country by dividing people. They created rift among people. They enforced the western education system on us and unfortunately, we see that today’s young generation is falling prey to the western culture. If we study the ‘Vedas’, we will know that the inventions about modern technology were written down by our sages long long ago. Therefore, study our Dharma. Following ‘Dharmacharan’ (To follow principles of Hindu Dharma) is very much essential to attain God’s grace. Those who create obstacles on the path of followers of ‘Dharma (Righteousness)’ should be punished, say our Saints. The above guidance was given by Pujya Varde Guruji of Navnath Darbar, Chaul. He addressed the Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha held on the grounds of S. R. Tendulkar School by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS). The ‘sabha’ was attended by 350 devout Hindus. Mr. Hemant Dandekar, the taluka-president of BJP for Shribag (Alibag), Mr. Prasad Vadake of Dharma-shakti Sena, Mr. Sudhir Tavare of HJS and Mrs. Radha Surve of ‘Ranaragini’ also attended the meeting.

Mr. Hemant Dandekar of BJP said that the Government gives grant for Haj pilgrimage but no grant is given for Hindu pilgrims. There is no ban on Muslims who squat on the roads to read ‘namaz’ every Friday but Hindus need to take prior permission of the police to celebrate their festivals. Hooters can be fitted illegally on the mosques but Hindus cannot even play instruments after 10.00 p.m. during their festivals. This secular Government is responsible for the appeasement of Muslims and destruction of Hindus.

Every Hindu must prepare himself rigorously for self-defence, said Mr. Prasad Vadake of Dharma-shakti Sena.

Veermata Jijabai who kindled ‘Kshatratej’ in Chhatrapati Shivaraya should be kept as their ideal by the Hindu young women, said Mrs. Radha Surve. She said that Hindus are not aware of the problems and attacks on Hindu Dharma due to lack of ‘Dharmashikshan’ (To impart knowledge of Hindu Dharma). Mr. Sudhir Tavare said that it is the need of the hour that Hindus educate themselves in matters related to Dharma and follow ‘Dharmacharan’.
