Kolhapur: Dr. Narendra Dabholkar of Andha-shraddha Nirmulan Samiti and Mr. Nikhil Wagale, editor of ‘IBN Lokmat’ channel had come here to attend a function. ‘Dharmanirapekshata Yuva Nirdhar Parishad’, a so-called conference was organized at Keshavrao Bhosale Theatre on behalf of ‘All India Students Federation’ and ‘All India Nau-jawan Sabha’. Labour Minister Hasan Mushrif and Govind Pansare were also invited for the conference along with the above two persons. Many devout Hindus gathered outside the theatre at 11.00 a.m. to condemn the anti-Hindu stance of Dr. Dabholkar who has been criticizing Hindu Saints, Dharma and Hindu objects of worship and against Wagale for his anti-Hindu role observed on the TV channel. The devout Hindus raised slogans against both the above persons and demanded to cancel the conference. They protested against the so-called anti-superstitions Act proposed by Dr. Dabholkar and against the language used by Wagale for Shiv Sena Chief and the party. The demonstrators tried to enter the premises of the theatre by forcing open the gates. There was a scuffle between the demonstrators and the police. After about 1-1/2 hours of demonstrations, the police declared about the notice issued by them and the agitators exercised restraint.
