Despite being cubs of lion, we forget our valour and behave like sheep – Ramesh Shinde

Amaravati (Maharashtra):
Three hundred fifty years back, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj slew Afzal Khan on Pratapgad on this day. The posters displayed in memory of the incident are being banned. One, therefore, feels that despite being lion cubs, why are we forgetting our valour and behaving like sheep. The above views were expressed by Mr. Ramesh Shinde, the spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) for the States of Maharashtra and Gujarat. Hindu Dharma-jagruti Sabha was held on 24th November during the ‘Bhaagavat Saptaah’ organised on the grounds of Gondbaba Temple by HBP. Santveer Bandatatya Karadkar in Amaravati. Mr. Shinde addressed the ‘sabha’. HBP. Padmakar Maharaj Deshmukh and HBP. C. N. Pawar also attended the meet.

Mr. Shinde said further that although Shivaji Maharaj slew Afzal Khan, he constructed Afzal Khan’s tomb. Has any Mughal king ever constructed a memorial of a Hindu killed by him? The tomb, which is 3 feet wide and 6 ft long, has occupied 1 -½ acre of land. Many Hindus make a vow at the tomb for being blessed with child. They should therefore, think that in such situation, a child born with such vow would be like Shivaji Maharaj or like Afzal Khan?

Regarding the agitation held by Santveer HBP. Bandatatya Karadkar against the project of Dow company, Mr. Shinde said, “It is very shameful that owing to lack of ‘Dharmacharan’ by Hindus, saints have to go to jail. Now we have to prepare ourselves for protection of Dharma.”

Mr. Hemant Khatri of HJS first acquainted the members of audience with various activities undertaken by HJS. HBP. Padmakar Maharaj Deshmukh explained the objective of holding such ‘sabha’. He said, “The main objective of the ‘sabha’ is to create awareness among Hindus towards their Dharma as the purpose of ‘Bhaagavat- kathaa’ is also the same. It is very disgraceful for Hindus that they have to be made aware about Dharma, they have to stage agitation for protection of cows, their sending parents to ‘Old people’s House’ etc. In the present situation, educate Hindus in matters related to Dharma and following ‘Dharmacharan’ is the only remedy.”

Highlights

  • HBP. Santveer Bandatatya Karadkar did not occupy his seat which he generally uses during discourse on ‘Bhaagavat Kathaa’ and preferred to sit like an ordinary devotee. He refused to be felicitated.
  • Few policemen were present in plain clothes at the venue. They did video-shooting of the program for some time.
  • A camp was organised on behalf of the ‘Dharmajagruti Trust’ for checking blood group.

HJS keep up the good work of awakening the Hindus who are in a deep slumber. It is very rightly pointed out by Bandatatya that Hindus lack Dharmacharan. Hindus also have no Dharma abhimaan. As a result the condition of the Hindus all over the world including Bharat is very pathatic. Once again my very sincere thanks and regards to HJS for carrying out the good work.
