Shiva-pratap Din’ festival organised at Vai on Tuesday

Tuesday, Margashirsha Shu. 7 (24.11.09) will be celebrated as ‘Shiva-pratap Din’ on behalf of Pratapgad Utsav Samiti at Shivateertha Vai (Dist. Satara); after which the Shiva-devotees can celebrate ‘Shiva-pratap Din’ on any day during 25th November to 25th December. Besides, this day should also be celebrated as ‘Anti-terrorism Day’ to eradicate terrorism. The above appeal was made through a press release by Mr. Sanjay Bhosale, the President of Pratapgad Utsav Samiti and its chief executive Mr. Milind Ekbote.

On the occasion of this festival, Col. Sambhaji Patil (Karad) will be felicitated with ‘Veer Jiva Mahale Award’ whereas Shiva-devotee Mr. Haridas Padalkar will be felicitated with ‘Shaurya (bravery) Award. Mr. Pramod Mutalik, the national President of Sriram Sene, Shiv-shahir Mr. Babasaheb Purandare, Mr. Nitin Desai, the producer of ‘Raja Shiva Chhatrapati’ serial will attend the function. Mr. Nitin Pradhan, a senior advocate of Mumbai High Court will be conferred with ‘Shri. Gopinathpant Bokil’ award. Recently, Mumbai High Court has dismissed a petition filed by the Government to legalise the unauthorised construction erected on Pratapgad. HJS has received valuable guidance from Advocate Pradhan in its legal fights.
