“Learn from HJS as to who should be called a Hindu !” – H.B.P. Parvati Maharaj Talekar

“Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) is like a mother to every Hindu and its ‘Ranaragini Branch’ is like an ‘Upasya Deity’ (a Deity who is worshipped).  Hindus must remember that their ancestors were all valiant people. We have, however, not only become helpless and at the mercy of others but also behave like their slaves. We must try to avoid behaving like this and inculcate respect towards our Dharma. Learn as to who should be called a Hindu from HJS.” This was the heartfelt appeal made by HBP. Parvati Maharaj Talekar, the President for Khandala Taluka of Warakari Mahamandal.

He was addressing the Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha organised by HJS at Pande Bhor which was attended by more than 500 devout Hindus.

The program began with the recitation of ‘Ved-mantras’ and the blowing of a trumpet. Mr. Mahendra Ahire, a member of HJS first explained the objective of holding such a meet and described the activities of HJS. Mr. Amol Mehta and Miss Sayali Jadhav compered the program. Mrs. Anjali Joshi of ‘Ranaragini’ Branch and Mr. Sunil Ghanavat of HJS also addressed the meet which was concluded with the singing of ‘Vande Mataram’ by Miss Sumitra Chavan of HJS.

‘Dharmashikshan’ (Teachings of Dharma) is necessary for today’s woman’ – Mrs. Anjali Joshi

Nowadays, women feel awkward to wear a ‘Mangal-sutra’. Our girls are falling prey to the indecent serials shown on TV channels. It is, therefore, necessary that every woman must awaken the principle of Sree Durga Devi in her by getting educated in matters related to her Dharma.

‘One has to sing ‘Vande Mataram’ if one wants to live in India’ – Mr. Sunil Ghanavat

If we say ‘Hindu-Muslim bhai-bhai’ (Hindus and Muslims are brothers) then our mother must be the same. Every citizen of this country should, therefore, bow before ‘Bharatmata’. That Shivaji Maharaj slew Afzal Khan is a historical fact; why then are riots taking place on this issue? Maybe, you can tear down one poster, but how can you destroy the reverence felt in the hearts of thousands of devout Hindus towards Shivaji Maharaj?

Significant happenings that took place in the ‘Sabha’

  • H.B.P. Talekar Maharaj raised slogans on the spur of the moment.
  • At the time, the meet was held, tremors of earthquake were felt in Pande village but around the meet, in about a 200 meters area no tremors were felt.
  • The locals felicitated eminent dignitaries attending the meet.
  • Women from Pande village attended the meet in large numbers.
  •  All the members of the audience left only after the entire recitation of ‘Vande Mataram’.

Thanks to HJS for keeping up the good work of organising Dharma Jagruti Sabhas all over the country as well as all around the world as frequently as possible to awaken the Hindu masses who are in deep slumber. Hindus are themselves divided into various linguistic groups, castes, sub-castes, etc. My best wishes to HJS and other Hindu organisations who are working for the sake of bringing about unity amongst the Hindus.
