Panaji (Goa): The Peoples Union for Human Rights on Tuesday submitted a letter to the high court of Bombay at Goa praying for a CBI inquiry into the recent Margao bomb blast case.

The letter addressed to the chief justice of the Bombay high court states that the probe into the bomb blast should be impartially conducted by the investigating agency as it is a serious offense.

The group has also questioned the impartial behaviour of the Goa police and alleged that state home minister Ravi Naik was using the Margao bomb blast case to settle personal scores.

It may be recalled that Ravi Naik had asked the police to probe the links of Jyoti Dhavalikar, wife of state transport minister Ramkrishna Dhavalikar, to the Sanatan Sanstha.

The letter also questions the statement made by chief minister Digambar Kamat "that the state government shall not transfer the investigations from the Goa Police to the CBI.
