Hindus note that - Sanatan is receiving help from God and not from politicians !

On 28 October 2009 Sanatan Sanstha organised a press conference at ‘Shramik patrakar’ hall in Panaji- Goa. In this conference, Sanatan Sanstha’s side about events regarding the blast at Margao and upon which the enquiry of Sanatan that is going on, was put forth.  Sanatan was represented by Mr. Virendra Marathe the administration trustee of Sanatan Sanstha, Mr. Pruthviraj Hajare the editor of group of ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ and Dr. Krushnamurti Rao famous advocate and consultant physician from Margao. The series of question and answers are given below.

Que: Why did you not come forth to the media on the second day of the blast, when there were accusations laid against Sanatan Sanstha?

Ans.: The Police investigation was going on. On 19 October, the spokesperson of Sanatan Sanstha Mr. Abhay Vartak held a press conference in Mumbai. More than 80 newspapers and news channel representatives were present for it. At the same time a Press Note from Sanatan Sanstha were being published in Daily Sanatan Prabhat on a regular basis. When the Police enquiry started, myself and the editor of the group of ‘Sanatan Prabhat ’ Mr. Pruthviraj Hazare were called at the Police station for enquiry. We had to be there from 8.30am to 10 pm. In that situation we were not able to address the media. But from time to time, we have made our position clear.

Que: Are there any abroad seekers in Sanatan Sanstha?

Ans.: Our work has spread throughout the world. We have seekers in Australia, England, America, France, Canada, United Aram Emirates countries and they are doing spiritual practice under the guidance of Sanatan Sanstha. This is our only relation.

Que.: Does the Sanstha get any funds from abroad?

Ans.: No such transaction happens. This part has been put forth clearly in the investigation.

Que:  What is the other side of the investigation of the Margao blast?

Ans.: Anyone can place a bomb in the scooter of our seekers, who are now dead. The process of investigation has not covered this possibility. They should search this second possibility.

Que: If this was the plot, aimed to kill seekers of Sanatan Sanstha, then how come explosives were recovered from Sakaval?

Ans.:  In the country, explosives are planted in several places.  Sakaval could be one of the places. We are putting forth the possibility of ‘a plot to kill Sanatan Seekers’.

Reporter: It has been said that Malgonda Patil was involved in the blast in Thane, Vashi and Panvel.

Que: No.  He was not involved in any plot. No one has said so. After the Margao blast, the Media is making such connections and claims. ‘He died in the blast’ this is the only connection he has to the Margao blast torment.

Que: No other Spiritual organisations from society are being targeted. Then why is only Sanatan Sanstha being made a target?

Ans.: It is not that only Sanatan is targeted. Sadhvi Pragya Singh, Abhinav Bharat Organisation were also tormented. The torture of Sadhvi Pragya Singh is known worldwide. This is ongoing for spiritual organisations. (In the state of Kerala, MCP activist have attacked hermitages of Saints, driven the occupants out and have taken over the place. In the state of Orissa, Swami Laxmananand Sarasswati faced a fatal attack seven times. But the state government did not take it seriously and He was killed. In the mean time, big accusations were being made against H H Assaram Bapu. Therefore saying that only Sanatan is being tormented / tortured is not the reality ! – Editor SP)

Que: Is the literature of Sanatan provocative?

Ans.: The literature of Sanatan is open worldwide. We publish it through the Daily newspaper. So far, no one has told us that it is provocative. Not even once has the government said anything like that.  We state the facts. We publish, what has been published elsewhere. We do not make even a slight change in it. 

Que: If the investigation continues in the same way, what would be your stand?

Ans.: We are taking legal advice regarding this. An appropriate step will be taken once all the events are crosschecked.

Que: Do you want to state that this all is pre-planned?

Ans.: The way we are being cross-examined, we have put forth the facts just now. Seeing it in perspective we feel it is a very well planned conspiracy against us.

Que: Do you have any support from representatives of the people?

Ans.: Few MLAs have made the suggestion to sue the media.

Que: On the day of the Margao blast, did Malagonda Patil leave the ashram at anytime ? 

Ans.: He had left the ashram in the morning.

Que: Has there been any effect on the activity of Sanatan Sanstha after the Margao blast? 

Ans.: Yes. The activities of the Sanstha has come to a standstill.  The time of seekers doing the activities for the Nation and Dharma, is getting wasted. This is having an adverse effect on the functioning of the Sanstha.

Que: What types of distress have you faced due to the Police investigation?

Ans.: During the Police investigation, due to false and wrong publicity, the Miraj Ashram in Maharashtra was searched. Also Police are hounding the seekers in their enquiry. Our activities have come to a halt and the one responsible for it is the large scale defaming done by the media. The statements made by the politicians were publicised by the media. Because of such low level and degrading publicity we have to answer a number of questions when facing people. Initially the injured Yogesh Naik was claimed to be dead for 2-3 days, when he was actually alive. Even the false news that ‘H H Dr. Athavale would be leaving for America’ was publicised.

Que: Do you feel that there will be a ban on Sanatan Sanstha?

Ans.: Seeing the overall situation, yes it seems so.

Que: The ban that the government is trying to impose on Sanatan Sanstha, can it not be stopped through the subtle?

Ans.: Subtle-energy is used for spiritual practice (Sadhana). For activities in the gross, the subtle dimension is not used as it wastes Sadhana.

Que: Which political people (politicians) are supporting Sanatan?

Ans.: No politicians are supporting Sanatan. Just that some politicians have expressed their views in our favour.

Que:  Which politicians have expressed their views?

Ans.:  Some MLA’s of BJP have expressed their views in our favour.

Que: Which politicians? Name them. Let Hazare answer.

Mr. Hazare: Shripad Naik, Manohar Parriker, Dayanand Mandreker of BJP have sided with Sanatan. 

Que: What does Mrs. Jyoti Dhawliker do in the Sanstha?

Ans.: There are many seekers in Sanstha from here and outside Goa. She is one of them. Before she was employed in the bank therefore she has work experience. She, therefore, does some seva in the accounts department of the Sanstha.

Que: What about the land of the ashram?

Ans.: We have purchased this land from Mr. Pendse. We have completed all the paperwork. All this paperwork has been shown to the Police.

Reporter: In the Granth (Book) of Sanatan there is a statement of ‘kill the people’.

Ans.: In no Granth (Book) of Sanatan have such statements been made. You should study the entire Granth before coming to conclusions. 

Reporter: Such statement has been made in the Granth on self defence. 

Mr. Marathe: What is the title of the Granth?  

Reporter: Self defence training

Mr. Marathe: Then, everything is said in the title. We teach self-defence and not how to attack others.

Reporter: No; in one you have explained how to use a sword and showed through diagram how to pierce it in the stomach of Durjan (evil people). It has been mentioned whom to call a Durjan. 

Ans.: The Government has fixed certain types of punishments for different types of crime. The death penalty of hanging is also included among it; but for a crime of theft one is not given a death penalty. In Kshatradharma Sadhana we have mentioned whom to call a Durjan. In the Granth on self defence, the actions / movements are mentioned. In other countries, self-defence education is provided through schools. It is our misfortune that we have not received such training. Sanatan has to do it. If such training was given. especially to girls, then the serial crimes carried out by Mahananda Naik or the recent killings of women would not have occurred. The media should support such activities.

Que.: In Dhamse, Valpoi such training was taught before. But that centre was closed. 

Ans.: There was very little response to this activity, hence the centre had to be closed within 1½ - 2 years time. There are very few people who like such activities. A minimum student number is required for a class to run. The number dwindled and thus we closed the centre.

Reporter: You say that ‘Establishment of Divine Kingdom will commence from Goa’. 

Ans.: It is not us saying it. It has been said by Saint H H Bhaktaraj Maharaj. He is the source of inspiration for Sanatan. Goa is a Holy land. The pureness, the Sattvikta in the temples of Goa cannot be experienced anywhere else. Therefore in Goa it is the right environment to establish the Divine Kingdome.  Actually Goans should feel be proud that the establishment of the Divine Kingdom will begin from Goa.

Que.: The activity of the spiritual organisations is to create peace. Then why does Sanatan teach self defence? 

Ans.: If we are sitting in a room and chanting, and if someone comes and attacks us then we have to defend ourselves /retaliate. We will not be able to sit and chant then. At such occasions the self-defence training will be useful.  

Que.:  Why is objectionable writing done in the ‘Daily Sanatan Prabhat’ regarding other religions?

Ans.: No objectionable text about other religions is published in the ’Daily Sanatan Prabhat’. But if Hindus are attacked by people of other religions then the facts are stated as they are. The objective behind it is to make the Government take some action in regards to these incidents.

Que.: Why do you publish ‘Cartoons’ with Christian Priesta with a mask? 

Ans.: What we publish in the Daily, they are called the “BodhChitra’. One should learn from the text and the graphics. (If the text along with the graphics is studied then the objective behind publishing the Picture will be clear ! - Editor SP)
