Panaji (Goa): In order to create divine consciousness in Hindus and ignite the spirit of Dharma (Righteousness) in them, the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has successfully organised the first and second series of its public Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabhas and it intends to start the third series from October 14th. The HJS has organised the Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha on October 14th at Sree Sateri Temple Hall, Peribhat, Merces at 5 pm. This information was given by Mr. Jayesh Thali, Goa State co-ordinater of HJS. Mr. Sadashiv Dhond of Dharma Shakti Sena, Mrs. Teja Borkar of Sanatan Sanstha and Mr. Raj Borkar an organizer of the Sabha were present at this time.

Mr. Jayesh Thali futher said that in the past, the HJS has organised totally 128 such Sabhas successfully in Maharastra, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Utter Pradesh, Jharkhand, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala in India and the USA and UK at abroad and has created awareness about Hindu Dharma amongst 3 lakhs 54 thousands 460 Hindus. Today, the Nation and Hindu Dharma have been engulfed by various problems such as Jihadi terrorism, conversion of faith, blind emulation of the western culture, desecration of idols and temples of Hindu Deities, denigration of Hindu Deities through the medium of National Council for Educational Research and Training’s (N.C.E.R.T.) syllabus that dupes Hindus and the entire nation by presenting distorted history, etc., denigration of Deities through the medium of drama and cinema, denigration of Deities by wearing T-shirts having pictures of Deities, organizing programs glorifying the Portuguese, insult to the National Flag through the use of plastic flags, restriction on the practice of Hindu Dharma by Hindu students in convent schools.

Likewise, killings of Hindu Saints and leaders, rioting by fanatics during Hindu festivals, ploy to impose a ban on Hindu organizations and other problems like these have assumed a grave form. In such a situation, although Hindus are a majority, they seemingly cease to exist in this country due to a lack of pride for their religion and a narrow minded attitude.

Thus, in order to awaken divine consciousness in Hindus and ignite the spirit of Dharma (Righteousness) amongst them, the HJS has successfully organised Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabhas since January 2008 in Mapusa, Marcaim, Margao and Canacona in Goa in the first series of such Sabhas and has got an overwhelming response from devout Hindus. In the second series, such Sabhas have been held successfully at Curchorem, Bhicholim and Pednem. It is now starting the third series of Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabhas at Merces. The third series shall comprise of a combination of big and small public Dharmajagruti Sabhas to be held in all over Goa. The HJS appeals to all Hindus to be present for this Sabha in large numbers.
