Detailed news of Defamation

Mumbai (Maharashtra): The company marketing ‘Sapat Tea’ has used five leaves to represent the figure of Lord Ganesh in its advertisement. (Hindus who repeatedly denigrate their own Deities and places of faith are the real enemies of Hindu Dharma !- Editor SP)

The activists of HJS met the officials at the corporate office of Sapat Group in Mumbai and educated them on this issue. Mr. Shivaji Vatkar, coordinator for HJS Mumbai, Thane and Raigad region had already sent an email in this regard to the company ‘Sapat International Pvt. Ltd’ stating that the said advertisement is a downright mockery and denigration of the Hindu Deities and should be withdrawn immediately as it is hurting the religious sentiments of lakhs of Hindus who are the regular customers of Sapat Tea.

The officials of the company first refused to meet the delegation of HJS activists consisting of Mrs. Varsha Thakar, Mrs. Urmila Khanvilkar and Mr. Sanjay Karale but called them later when a copy of Daily Sanatan Prabhat was shown to them. The legal consultant of the company Mr. Suhas Bijurkar and the assistant manager Mr. Ashok Vaidya said, “There is nothing wrong with the advertisement. If Ganapati can eat modaks then why can’t he drink tea? People are attracted to an advertisement only if it is original and different. Nowadays everybody is using religion in their advertisements. What wrong have we done then?” (Deities will never bestow Their grace on Dharma-Drohis who try to justify their acts of denigration despite being made aware of it! - Editor SP)

Upon hearing their response, HJS activist Mrs. Thakar explained to them in detail the spiritual science underlying offering a modak to Lord Ganapati and how wrong it is to denigrate a Deity and how one could suffer as a result of such an act. She also elaborated on the fact that because of lack of education on Righteousness, Hindus dare to do indulge in such anti-Dharmic activities. She made them aware of the fact that those belonging to other religions, respect their religion too much to create similar advertisements that use the God that they worship to market some mundane product in a gimmicky fashion just to fill their coffers.

The officials, who had initially taken an opposing stance, listened silently to all this information and assured the delegation that though they cannot take back the advertisement now as Anant Chaturdashi was only two days away, henceforth they would never come out with any advertisement containing images that denigrate Deities.

Mr. Suhas Bijurkar showed them another picture of Ganapati prepared from leaves of different shapes and asked whether such a picture would be allowed. Instead of answering the question, the activists of HJS placed the sattvik picture of Lord Ganapati prepared by Sanatan Sanstha besides that picture and asked them which picture they found pleasant.

All the officials immediately agreed that they felt good when looking at the picture prepared by Sanatan.
