Maharashtra’s Anti-Marathi Congress Government

Permission to increase number of classes granted to 52 Urdu schools, but to only 14 Marathi schools

Mumbai (Maharashtra): As the number of students seeking admission in private schools are increasing, the State Government has given permission to 52 Urdu schools run by minority organizations to increase the number of divisions in each class; but at the same time, such permission has been given only to 14 Marathi schools. This means that the Congress Government is giving more weight to Urdu schools. (The Congress Government has granted permission to increase the number of classes in so many Urdu schools, even though most of the citizens in Maharashtra are Marathi speaking Hindus. As per this decision, another 12 Hindu schools, 2 Telugu schools & 1 Kannada schools have also got permission to increase the number of divisions in their schools. In total, 81 schools have got permission to increase 204 divisions on an unaided basis. Before this decision, the Congress Government gave the decision 3 times to these schools excluding Urdu schools. But this decision was not implemented in reality. But as the minority department issued a circular on to this subject, the State Government immediately granted permission.
