Shut and act against miracle-centres used for converting people to Christianity : HJS

Fr. Sebastian claiming to cure patients with miracle, admitted to hospital !

Vasai : Director of ‘Ashirvad’ Centre at Bhuigaon named Sebastian Martin claimed that he could cure incurable diseases by only praying to Jesus; but it has now been proved that he was cheating people in the name of miracles and was converting them. Considering the fury amongst people, police have started procedure for closing down this centre; but immediately, he has admitted himself for treatment in Jupiter hospital at Thane to avoid police action. He was claiming to cure people just by touching and praying for them and he himself is getting treated in hospital which has exposed his quackery. Dr. Uday Dhuri, Mumbai spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has demanded through a press release that police should not fall prey to pretensions of this Fr. and should take legal action against him for cheating and converting people.   

It has been further stated in this press release that a case has been filed against him at Vasai police station under anti-superstitions Act and under Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act ; but such centres are operated and prayer programs are held all over Maharashtra even now; therefore, the Government should conduct in-depth inquiry into programs organized by Christian- ‘Fathers’ and close down all these centres immediately, giving them stringent punishment, is the demand of citizens.
