Central govt has not yet given a single rupee to Ujjain Simhastha Parva

• Hindus expect that the Govt. should provide funds for religious festival !
• Central Govt. announces aid of Rs. 100 crores for Simhastha Parva which is a meager amount; but it is still only on paper !
• Funds were made available during Congress regime; but not under BJP Govt. which is a matter of concern !
• State Govt. not sure about actually getting the funds !

Ujjain : It has been informed that the Central Government has not given a single rupee for Simhastha –Parva so far, as promised and whole financial burden has fallen on the State Government. In the year 2013, the then joint progressive Congress Government had given Rs. 1200 crores; but the present Government at Centre has announced only Rs. 100 crores; out of which nothing has been given so far. The State Government has expressed hope that the Central Government would soon provide necessary funds.

1. The State Government has been making preparations for Simhastha Parva since last 5 years; making provision of Rs. 3500 crores.

2. As per information collected from sources, expenses on Simhatsha-Parva can exceed from Rs. 3500 crores to Rs. 4000 crores. Simhastha Parva related works have been partly completed and partly pending.     

3. The State Government had made provision of large amount of funds for ‘Simhastha Parva’. It felt that the Central Government would provide for 60% of funds but nothing has been received so far therefore, the State Government is doubtful of getting anything from the Central Government.

4. In the year 2015, State Chief Minister Shivraj Chauhan had met the Finance Minister and demanded Rs. 3500 crores for making arrangements for Simhastha Parva.

Why funds are not provided for Simhatsha Parva of Ujjain ? – Shri. Mahant Narendragiri Maharaj, President, Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishada

Shri. Mahant Narendragiri Maharaj, President of ‘Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishada’ said that the Central Government should make provision of sufficient funds for ‘Simhastha Parva’. The then Central Government had provided Rs. 1200 crores to Uttar Pradesh Government for ‘Simhastha Parva’ held at Prayag; then why funds are not provided for Ujjain Simhastha Parva ?
