Alibaug (Maharashtra): District Collector of Raigad, Mr. Sonawane has recently issued an order for the prevention of denigration of National Flags made of plastic. A delegation of HJS and other parties and organsiations had submitted a representation to him in this regard when he had made a promise to the delegation that a circular and order would be issued and he has kept his promise.
The delegation comprised of :
• Mr. Aswad Patil, the Chairman of Alibaug Panchayat Samiti,
• Mr. Sanjay Patil and
• Anil Patil, members of Raigad Zilha Parishada,
• Mr. Sunil Damane, the Secretary of BJP for Alibaug taluka,
• Mrs. Geeta Vaishampayan, ‘Mahamantri’ of ‘Bharat Swabhiman Sanghatana’,
• Mr. Makarand Naik and
• Mr. Milind Joshi of ‘Samvedana’ organisation,
• Mr. Gautam Lehua and
• Mr. Narayan Gosavi of ‘Patanjali Yoga’,
• besides Mr. Sudhakar Padhye of HJS and
• 35 devout Hindus.
Mr. Sonawane has referred to various clauses under the ‘Misuse of Symbols of National Pride Act, 1950’, ‘National Dignity (prohibition to disrespect) Regulation 1971’, ‘Emblems and Names (prohibition to misuse), Regulation 1950 in the circular issued by him which will help to control the abuse of the National Flag.
Representation to the Tehsildar, Poladpur, on behalf of HJS and ‘Akash Group’; creating awareness in schools
Poladpur (Maharashtra): HJS and ‘Akash Group (AG)’ a social organisation submitted a representation to Mr. Lakshman Gosavi, the Tehsildar for the prevention of denigration of the National Flag that takes place on Independence Day due to the use of plastic flags. The Tehsildar assured that he would issue necessary instructions to stop such abuse. Mr. Vikas Mandhare and Mr. Haresh Sule of the organisation and Mr. Sudesh Palshetkar of HJS called on the Tehsildar. The members of AG also visited schools to create awareness among students about the denigration of National Flags occurring due to the use of plastic flags.
