Orissa govt disburses Rs 42.3 lakh for church repair

Bhubaneswar: The Orissa government said on Wednesday that it has disbursed Rs 42.3 lakh as assistance for repair of church and prayer houses damaged during communal violence last year. (This communal violence was started after brutal murder of VHP leader Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati by Christians & Maoists. So there is no need to disburse money for repairing Churches & Christian prayer houses!)
This was stated by Revenue and Disaster Management Minister S N Patro while replying to a question in the assembly. Stating that 196 churches and prayer houses were damaged during riot in Kandhamal, Patro said six prayer halls were also vandalised in Bargarh district.
Communal violence broke out in Kandhamal and spread to other districts in the aftermath of VHP leader Laxmananada Saraswati's killing in August 2008.
Regarding assistance to a prayer hall at Tentuli Jharia under Talsara block in Kalahandi district, the minister said that the government was awaiting a report from the concerned collector before sanctioning repair assistance.
"The prayer halls in Bargarh were given Rs 10,000 each for repair work," Patro said.
The government's financial assistance to places of worship damaged during riot came a day after the Centre made public that it had disbursed Rs 1.05 crore to riot victims in Kandhamal.
This was for the first time in the history of Orissa that financial assistance was provided for repair and re-building of religious institutions, official sources said.

TO ALL HINDUUS ! WAKE UP !----AND THINK ----
Here are the decision taken at the Meeting, which both , HINDUUS AND CHRISTIANS , spelt out.
1. That India should be declared a Spiritual Country, instead of a ‘secular’ country.
2. All the school text books should carry moral stories from all religious books and scriptures.
3. The Catholic Church is against forced conversion, and they will not support any forced conversion.
4. Moneys received from foreign countries for the purpose of serving the poor should be used only for that purpose (as seva is a religious duty), and not for converting the poor.
5. The United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) should not be allowed to visit our country. Both Hindus and Christians consider it as interfering in the internal affairs of our country.
6. Since, the Catholics say that conversion is done only by Protestants, Methodists, Pentecostals, etc., a comprehensive meeting comprising all denominations of Christians should be held in December 2009.
While briefing about these decisions, they both also explained the rationale behind taking such decisions.
I have already posted in this group my question to Archbishop Cardinal Oswald Gracias and the lie he told about the "Indian Community Bible".
