  • Conduct judicial inquiry into riots at Malda (Bengal) !

Mumbai : Religious sentiments of Hindus should be honoured by taking legal action against workers of ‘Bhoomata Brigade’ before they go to Shani Shingnapur on 26th January with the intention of breaking religious traditions; more than 4.5 lakh displaced Kashmiri Hindus should be rehabilitated by setting up an area called ‘Panun Kashmir’ to be treated as union territory and investigations should be conducted into communal riots staged by 2.5 lakh fanatics at Malda (Bengal) taking stringent action against the guilty, were some of the demands made during demonstrations held under aegis of Rashtriya Hindu Andolan’ on 19th January at Azad Maidan between 2.00 p.m. and 5.00 p.m. Hundreds of citizens signed the representation submitted to the Government at the venue. Office bearers and members of 18 pro-Hindu organizations participated in the demonstrations. Office bearers of these organizations appealed to Hindus to fight with unity against injustice done to Hindus. About 300 ‘Hindutvavadis’ participated in the demonstrations.

1.Women demonstrators gathered here in large number demanded that Hindus’ religious traditions and Dharma should be protected by imposing restrictions on ‘Bhoomata Brigade’ which is planning, only for publicity, to break the religious tradition followed at Shanai-Shinganapur Devasthan by prohibiting women from entering temple-pedestal.

2. It has been 25 years since Kashmiri Hindus were displaced on 19th January 1990 ; still they have not been rehabilitated. Tribunal should be set up for conducting inquiry into terrorist attacks on Kashmiri Hindus and it should be treated as genocide of Hindus. Article 370 should not be made applicable to the area of ‘Panun Kashmir’ where Kashmiri Hindus should be rehabilitated. Survey of Hindus’ temples and land in Kashmir should be conducted and protected. Hindus should be allowed to undertake pilgrimages in that region. These demands were made with Central Government during the demonstrations.

3. On 3rd January, 2.5 lakh fanatics took out a violent march at Kaliyachak in Malda district of Bengal damaging Government and private properties by indulging in firing, arson, attacking police station, setting police vehicles on fire, blasting bombs etc. The State Government is, however, protecting fanatics responsible for such serious vandalism; and doing injustice to Hindus. The anti-law Government in Bengal should therefore, be dissolved and President’s rule should be imposed, was also the demand made during these demonstrations.
