Memorandum demanding ban on film Bajirao-Mastani submitted to the Regional Office

Memorandam being submitted at the Regional Office

Miraj : The trailer, teaser and the song ‘Pinga pinga’ of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film Bajirao-Mastani has been released. However, distorted history is being shown through this. In reality, during the times of Peshwa, respectable women would not dance in a vulgar manner. The women of royal households used to follow the footsteps of Rajmata Jijabai, Rani Laxmibai, Tarabai, Rani Chenamma, etc. They wielded the sword to defeat the enemy. This distortion of history is an insult to the ideal social organisation of Hindus just to fill one’s pockets. The film Bajirao-Mastani which distorts history must be banned. With this demand, a memorandum was submitted to the Regional Office under the leadership of HJS.

Other dignitaries present there at that time were Shri. Tatya Karade of Shivsena Udyog Sena, Shivsena’s Chandrakant Maigure, Sagar Isapure, Ajit Gurav & Gajanan More, Sandeep Shinde of Shivsena Railway Pravasi Sena, Shri. Sunil Kore, President of Jansurajya Shakti Paksha, Shivsena’s Sachin More, Dileep Naik, Sandeep Kadam, Ajay Bhokare & Pawan Kube, Shri. Jaigond Kore, Vice-president of BJP Yuva Morcha’s Sangli unit, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti’s Kumar Mane & Chidambar Karkal. Also, Shri. Mayur Naikawade of BJP Yuva Morcha, Malgaon was present to submit the memorandum.
