Views of dignitaries

  1. Shri. Nemichandbhai Podar, President, Nandini Gou-shala : Goumata is our mother and it also takes care of our health. It is our duty to protect ‘Gou-mata’. ‘Gou-rakhaks’ protect cows paying disregard to own safety; therefore, they should be provided protection and wherever necessary, they should be allowed to hold weapons for self-defence.
  2. MP Harishchandra Chavan, Dindori : ‘Gou-rakshaks’ should get protection.

(Both the above responses were received over phone.)

  1. Shri. Satish Maharaj Sanap, ‘Gou-vansh Raksha Samiti : Increase in incidents of cow-slaughter and attacks on ‘Gou-rakshaks’ should be stopped immediately and permission should be granted to ‘Gou-rakshaks’ for holding weapons.
  2. Shri. Jaisingh Rajpurohit, Gouraksha Sena, Dindori : The activities of ‘Gou-rakshaks’ are increasing rapidly; so also attacks on them. It is mainly duty of the Government to protect ‘Gou-rakshaks’.
