Film may be released only after removing shortcomings ! – Shrimant Satyasheelraje Padmasenraje Dabhade

Issue of controversial song ‘Pinga’ from upcoming film ‘Bajirao – Mastaani’ receiving increasing opposition from royal families !

Talegaon (Dist. Pune) : Song ‘Pinga’ picturised by Sanjay Bhansali in his film ‘Bajirao – Mastaani’ showing Kashibai and Mastaani dancing together is unacceptable. ‘History’ should be shown as history and the film should be released after removing the shortcomings, demanded Shrimant Sarsenapati Sardar Dabhade’s descendant Shrimant Satyasheelraje Padmasenraje Dadhade. (Will Bhansali show guts and take liberty to show such wrong things related to non-Hindu kings? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) A written representation on the above issue has been sent to Chief Minister, Devendra Fadanvis and Cultural Minister, Shri. Vinod Tawade.

It has been stated in the representation that ‘has Bhansali and his team studied the culture and customs, traditions followed by Marathi women in the year 1770 ? Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj had taken senior Bajirao Peshave to meet the only lady Army-Chief Umabaisaheb Dabhade of Hindvi Swaraj at her palace in Talegaon-Dabhade. If this scene is depicted in the film and character of Umabaisaheb has been shown in distorted manner as Kashibai and Mastaani, it will hurt our sentiments.’
