Telangana govt to gift clothes to Christians for Christmas

Another move by Telangana’s KCR government to appease Christians for votes. Now where are the pseudo-secular intellectuals, media and so-called social activitsts ? Is this not ‘intolerance’ and ‘discrimination’ by Govt with ‘citizens of India’ which includes Hindus also ? – Editor, HJS website

Hyderabad : For the first time, over 2 lakh Christians in the state will get clothes as a Christmas gift from the government. Telangana State Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has directed officials to make arrangements to celebrate Christmas as an official festival on the lines of Bathukamma, Bonalu and id-ul-Fitr.
 
Mr Rao reviewed the arrangements with chief secretary Rajiv Sharma and other top officials on Friday. Mr Rao will distribute the clothes on December 20 during a Christmas tree celebration. Elsewhere, clothes will be distributed at 190 locations. This will be followed by dinners at hundreds of churches in Hyderabad and 95 Assembly constituencies across the state.
