Murder of VHP leader Kutappa and brutality at Madikeri a pre-planned conspiracy of Congress : Pramod Mutalik

Addressing the press conference is Shri. Pramod Mutalik , along with him is Shri. Kulkarni.

Belgaum : ‘On 10th November, brutal incidents at Madikeri and murder of VHP’s district secretary D. S. Kutappa is a pre-planned conspiracy promoted by Congress Government’, was the accusation made by Shri. Pramod Mutalik, President of Sriram Sena during press conference held on 11th November. ‘During a Government-sponsored program, actor and writer Girish Karnad made some senseless comments. It showed that Karnad should now be recognized as ‘Sharif Karnad’. Demand made by Karnad to name Kempgauda airport as ‘Tipu Sultan’ airport is wrong. A senior thinker like Girish Karnad’s demand shows that he is an agent of a particular community. He should now return ‘Dnyan-Peetha’ award.’

The State Government is responsible for the condemnable incident of 10th November and Chief Minister Siddharamayya’s anti-Hindu governance is responsible for the same. Kutappa has been murdered and it was carried out by the Government. Considering oppression by Tipu Sultan in Kodagu district, it is wrong to give permission for taking out procession on Tipu Sultan’s birth anniversary. There was opposition to the program since last week; ‘Bandh’ was called. In such situation, District Collector was sent on leave and necessary security arrangements were not made; giving free hand to anti-social elements. This issue needs to be investigated thoroughly. Murderers should be punished and Kutappa’s family should be given aid of Rs. 25 lakhs immediately.

Shri. Mutalik said….

  1. Karnad has compared Tipu Sultan as the only patriot after Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and thus insulted patriots like Sangoli Rayanna, Rani Chennamma, Babasaheb Nargundakar etc. and has appeased Muslims. Such Karnad cannot be let go with only rendering apology.
  2. Ban has been imposed on beef as per Indian Constitution; but Karnad has supported consumption of beef and insulted even Indian Constitution. He should now return ‘Dnyanapeetha’ award conferred to him. If he doesn’t return the award, he would have to be counted amongst Muslims’ agents.
  3. Tipu Sultan had severely oppressed Hindus. He demolished 300 temples constructing mosques in their place. About 8000 Hindus were converted in Kodagu district.
  4. He had produced a serial named ‘Bhagavan’ which was challenged by a person named Sharma in Supreme Court demanding to stop telecast of such serial based on an oppressing king. The serial is totally fiction and not at all based on facts related to Tipu Sultan. It used to be explained in the beginning of serial that it was not based on Tipu Sultan. Even then, the Government is celebrating his birth anniversary on 20th November as if he was a patriot. Will it be right ?
  5. The State Government has deliberately hatched plot for mocking Hindus during their Diwali festival and passed an order to celebrate Tipu Sultan’s birth anniversary.
  6. Tipu Sultan had tortured Hindus on the day of Narak Chaturdashi at Melkote and Shrirangpattanam; therefore, Narak Chaturdashi is not celebrated at that place even today. The letters written by him to 2000 army- chiefs are proof of his cruelty. His letters were translated by K. M. Fanikar in Malayalam language and by Chidanand Murthy in Kannada. Going through such letters will prove that he was never a patriot.
  7. The Government is playing politics with Muslims’ votes; by branding him as a patriot. 2000 Muslims came from Kerala for the procession taken out at Medikeri and it was a pre-planned conspiracy.
  8. There will be serious repercussions in future if the Government did not think properly. Riots at Londha and Khanapur were also Government’s conspiracy. State Government is doing such things only to eliminate Hindus and pro-Hindu organizations.

Muslims attacked ‘Dharma-sabha’ held at Londha. Sriram Sena’s Khanapur-Taluka-chief Shri. Pundit Ogale tried to protect the participants attending Dharma-sabha. The incident was also reported to police but no action was taken. Instead Shri. Ogale and other activists have been taken into custody and action is taken against them. Many innocent Hindus are arrested by police. These arrests should be immediately stopped; else ‘Bandh’ will be observed in Khanapur, warned Shri. Mutalik.
