Battle-cry sounded against anti-Hindus in Pedane where Portuguese were first challenged

Pedane (Goa): Pedane was the first place to oppose tyrannical Portuguese regime and it is here that Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) organised a public meeting of devout Hindus to wage a war against anti-Hindus and the unrighteous. The participants resolved to become active and join the mission of HJS for protection of Dharma by paying obeisance to the memorial of freedom- fighters at Patradevi who had sacrificed their lives in freeing Goa from clutches of Portuguese. The Dharmasabha was attended by about 1300 devout Hindus. HBP. Ramkrushnabuva Garde from Dicholi, Shri. Shivprasad Joshi, president of Hindu Mahasabha for Goa region, Shri. Sangam Borkar of Dharma-shakti Sena, Shri. Madan Sawant of Sanatan Sanstha and Shri. Jayesh Thali of HJS adorned the dais. The meeting started with recitation of 'Vedamantras' by a group from 'Sanatan Vedpathshala' followed with felicitation of Shri. Upendra Gaokar, Goa State-chief and Shri. Namdev Naik, Dy. chief of Shiv Sena who had initiated action against anti-Hindu film 'Slumdog millionaire', Shri. Rama Parab from Virnoda, president of Sree Sateri Panchayatan who was active in opposing malpractices taking place during religious fairs; he had also taken part in HJS drive to maintain law and order during religious fair, Shri. Rajanikant Gawade, president of Sree Kamaleshwar Panchayatan Devasthan, Korgaon and Shri. Vivek Pendase, representative of 'Dainik Sanatan Prabhat', a staunch Hindu periodical.

Hinduism is a burning coal, it is like the radiance of the 'Bhavani' sword belonging to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. In this country where Hindus are supposed to be in majority, but they are the ones who are oppressed and are falling prey to injustice; but now Hindus do not want to die. It is time that all secular politicians are taught a lesson in the forthcoming elections. A ploy is being hatched to eliminate Hindus under the name of terrorism. Hindus, however, know how to finish off terrorism as there are examples of incarnations of Sree Rama and Sree Krushna so also birth of a king like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj taking place for the very purpose and who destroyed Ravan, Kansa and Afzal Khan respectively. So far, people have known only the history of those who died protecting Dharma but Dharma-shakti Sena is going to create history of those who will live for their Dharma.

• Slap in the face of those who feared of diminishing income of Devasthan if malpractices were stopped
• S/Shri. Rama Parab and Rajanikant Gawade, felicitated in the Dharma-sabha told the HJS members that the income of their devsthan has in fact, increased after stopping malpractices.
