Kochin : Auspicious beginning of Dharmasabhas in Kerala

Magh Shuddha Pratipada

Kochin (Kerala): Now a  days all temples in Kerala are going through the process of taking control by the Government. Actually they have no right to govern the temples as they are atheists (Nirishvarwadi). A huge temple built by earlier ruler of the State is in the process of gaining control by the Government; but the priests in the temple are firm about not allowing it even if they had to sacrifice their life. Let us all take the same vow , proposed the Chief Secretary of Hindu Aikya Vedi, Shri. Kummanam Rajshekharan in the Dharmajagruti sabha at Kochin.

The Sabha organized at Pavakkulam Mahadev Temple by Hindu Janjagruti Samiti (HJS) began at 5pm. Ved Mantras were recited by the Brahmin priests in the beginning which was followed by lighting the auspicious lamp at the hands of  Adv. Nagaresh, of the State Adv. Parishad. Kum. Pranita Sukhatankar of Sanatan Sanstha and Shri. Sudhish Puttlat of HJS  were also present on the dais.

Shri. Rajshekaharan said further, “There are 3 Devaswam committees in Keral namely, Trayavancore Devaswam committee, Kochin Devaswam committee and Malabar Devaswam committee. Each committee has 7 members and each of them is given 1 lac rupees per month for expenses. It is well known that these expenses are met from the donations collected in the temple. These members have no interest in the temple. None of them tries to initiate any development or renovations. When  Government’s Devaswam Minister, Shri. V. Sudhakaran had gone to Shabrimala temple he did not even pay obeisance in front of the Deity. If the income from Shabrimala temple were to stop then Kerala government would face tremendous financial crisis, is a fact. This year the government asked the temple to bear the expenses of 55 lacs for the repairs of the bus stand, 3crores of rupees for the water supply section and 18 crores for the articles to protect the temple from terrorists’ attack. None of these articles is working, is a fact. It has proved to be a cow giving lot of milk.”

Kum. Pradnya Pingale and Kum. Aditi compered. Shri. Sudhir introduced HJS mission and achievement. Representative  of Sanatan Prabhat Kum. Supriya spoke about the mission of Sanatan Prabhat   protecting Nation and Dharma.

Similarly HJS should also conduct Janjagruti Sabhas in West Bengal and other states like Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Orrissa, Assam, etc. My hearty congragulations to HJS and wish you all the best to keep up the good work of uniting and awakening the Hindus from their deep slumber.
