Pravara Sahakari Bank and Mula- Pravara Rural Electric Cooperative Society (MPRECS) Scam Issue
Mumbai : Inquiry should be conducted into operations of Pravara Sahakari Bank under control of Congress MLA Radhakrushna Vikhe-Patil; who is also Opposition Leader in State Legislative Assembly and action should be taken against the guilty. Inquiry should also be conducted into scam involving trillions of rupees in management of Mula-Pravara Rural Electric Cooperative Society run by Vikhe-Patil family members and the dues should be recovered from them and distributed amongst farmers. The above demand has been made by Hindu Vidhidnya Parishada (HVP) through a letter written to Minister Shri. Chandrakant dada Patil.
It has been stated in the letter that the above bank has given huge loans to educational institutes going against its norms leading to loss to the other members of the bank but the real culprits are scot-free as they were a part of the then government. The amount should be recovered from directors of this bank and if distributed amongst farmers, they will stop committing suicides. The educational institutes, which were favoured in this manner, should be found out and the entire amount misappropriated so far should be recovered. If this amount is distributed amongst farmers, they will stop committing suicides. A copy of the letter has also been sent by HVP to Charity Commissioner.
