Hindus don't have monopoly on the nation : RSS

December 25, 2008
Margashirsha Krushna Trayodashi

Shillong (Meghalaya): Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Wednesday called for unity among the different communities of the nation.

"The diversity of communities of the nation calls upon its people to realise the unity. Efforts should be made to root out the conflicts existing among the communities," RSS general secretary Mohanji Bhagwat said. (Hindus are always ready to root out conflicts with other communities, but these communities are not ready to resolve conflicts!)

Stating that the word 'Hindu' is being 'misunderstood' and 'misinterpreted', Bhagwat said, "Hindu community is not the only community that has monopoly on the nation's culture." (How Shri. Bhagwat can say that Hindus don't have monopoly on Nation's culture. This land is known as Hindusthan & the culture of this country is nothing but the Hindu Culture. Hindus have tradition of lacs of years, right from Satyayuga in this land of Hindus, so they have monopoly on thisNation's culture!)

He said the people of the nation should recognise the glorious culture and tradition of the country.

RSS, he said, has been backing every effort intended to protect one's identity.

He called upon the people to respect every individual and every society.
