Ganesh idol made of clay is in conformity with Dharmashastra ! – Prashant Thakur, MLA, BJP

Sale of eco-friendly Ganesh idols and decorations

Panvel : Making Ganesh idols of clay is in conformity with Dharmashastra; but nowadays, all idols are presented with lot of flashiness, stated BJP MLA Shri. Prashant Thakur; while inaugurating an exhibition cum sale of eco-friendly Ganesh idols and decorations held on 28th August on behalf of Panvel Town Council, Maharashtra Pollution Control Board and Ganesh Kala-kendra, Panvel. Shri. Pramod Bendre and Shri. Vinod Bendre of Ganesh Kala-kendra took initiative in holding the exhibition which will continue till 17th September from 5.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m.

MLA Shri. Thakur was submitted a petition by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) against drives like erection of water tanks for immersion of idols and donation of Ganesh idols. Mayor Sou. Charusheela Gharat, Dy. Mayor Shri. Madan Koli, Chief Officers and municipal councilors were present on the occasion. Sanatan Sanstha’s Sou. Sunita Patil presented an idol of Shri Ganesh made of clay to MLA Thakur.
